Proclaimed the best redevelopment of the last decade per the NY Times
So you bypassed Falls Church, looked at Dunn Lorring and maybe thought Vienna wasn’t for you? Are you one of those who can’t make up your mind about shoes in the morning? Me too. I like the idea of having the urban center at my arms reach, and being able to retreat to some of the more suburban things, which is why I love Merrifield. Last year, the redevelopment that took the Merrifield area by storm, the Mosaic District, was just a crazy little blip on some people’s radar, and now it is a sophisticated, hopping scene. Some people even think of it is as Clarendon all grown up!
Our favorite things about Merrifield: I love being able to get close to a Target, and Anthropologie, some locally owned and operated restaurants and shops as well as a fabulous movie theatre, the Angelika, all in one place. Oh, and it is easily Metro Accessible for those who don’t drive, as well as being a foodie’s dream. Dappled with chef-tastic restaurants and even shops, the Mosaic District at Merrifield is the best redevelopment urban infill project I have seen in over a decade.
