Riparian land with a mix of history and views
With such a great mix of stately riverside homes and historic properties, both of new and old constriction, Fort Hunt is an interesting place to call home. Something to consider is that most of the land along the Potomac in this area is part of the US Park Service, only some homes do have private water frontage, but only few and far between. Fort Hunt homes have a very broad range of home styles and prices ranging from homes built mid-century to the new construction of current times. You will see homes from ranch to bi-level to colonials and split levels. Many people enjoy the Fort Hunt area because of the extensive greenways, access to the Mt. Vernon estate, Theodore Roosevelt Island and Dyke Marsh wetland preserve. Fort Hunt offers easy access to The District by way of the GW Parkway and The Pentagon. You can utilize the Yellow Line via Huntington for easiest Metro access.
