Contemporary Ranch & Historic Preservation all within the Beltway
This Falls Church community of 355 homes built between 1951 and 1958 are what I could consider a mid-century modern dream. Having its share of quirky carport-attached homes with the Frank Lloyd Wright styling that the 1950s evoke and contemporary ranch vibe that either drives you crazy, or drives you wild, Holmes Run Acres is pretty darn cool in my book. Of course, I’m an atomic ranch fan and love, love, love the simple ease of living in clean lines and Eames throw-backs. There are four original styles to choose from.
Walls of windows, interior brick facades and large lots span these adorable Luria homes and bring a very close knit feel to this now historically designated community that has even had its own magazine, the Holmes Runner, for nearly 60 years and it continues to be inspired and thrive! Dedicated community members keep the architectural integrity sound with an architectural review board and the 4.2 acre Luria Park nestled in the back of the community honors the original builders. Holmes Run Acres will give you quick and easy access to the beltway, Falls Church City, Rt. 50, DC, and the New Mosaic District! Live simply, graciously, and in a hip, mid-century modern way in Holmes Run Acres.
