Another South Arlington community sure to delight
Hop on across Walter Reed at the crest of the so called Superman Hill and you will find the charming, and history-rich community of Douglas Park. Something that is interesting to note, is that some deeds in Nauck will read "Douglas Park" on them, so don’t be surprised if you see that interspersed in your South Arlington-ness! Monroe Park, Fort Barnard leash-free dog park and the W&OD trail make their way through this wonderfully kept South Arlington Community that is less than a mile to both charming Shirlington and the newly revamped Columbia Pike corridor.
From the impeccable lawns of the new construction to the wildlife habitats of the eco-friendly neighbors, Douglas Park has an eclectic mix of old and new being that this historical community likes to mix things up! Drive through and find the tree lined avenues peppered with original Queen Anne homes of yesteryear next door to some fun and funky 1950’s Cape-Cods and discover the wonder ofDouglas Park and the kitschy-cuteness that brings so many in for the character. But they will stay for the convenience to The District and everything that Arlington has to offer.
