The little City!
Approaching Falls Church on your way out of Arlington can be a breath of fresh air: the trees are more dense, the homes are a bit larger, and the sense of community is still deep. They call it “The Little City” which suites this area of Northern Virginia to the “T”. Just 8 miles from Washington, DC, Falls Church real estate is at a crossroads, Bailey’s Crossroads, that is. Some people may be overwhelmed by the famed 7 corners, but what this means is access to the DC Metro area without the hustle and bustle of the big city. You have access to Arlington, DC, all the while, you’re within the beltway, and can find affordable homes. A solid mix of ramblers, cape cods, federals and beyond; there is a great sense of pride of ownership in Falls Church.
Our favorite things about Falls Church: I would have to say that it is, that you can wind down one charming street after the next off of Broad and find what I like to think of as Pleasantville and think- this has got to end- there can’t be more cute houses, and yet there are more. Falls Church is the Little City that could, adorable houses and charm will find you when you least expect it and I totally like to be caught off guard like that. If you’re into great restaurants, precious shops and a main street America feel, you have definitely found it in Fall Church. There are parks, shops, woods and generously sized lots. Bonus, you ask? You’re super close to the District, even Arlington. Oh, double bonus, there are two Metro stops!
