As we have entered into the new year, the buyers have come out of their shells and are starting to look for homes. The operative word is look. I say this, because with the limited inventory, it is hard to move on a property and finalize an offer, with the limitation of not having options!
There are hardly any properties on the market, and we are starting to see evidence in the multiple-offer situations. As of last week, which was the first week of 2019, in Arlington there were only 17 homes within the price points of the “missing middle” (defined as the 400-800K price point) and as the evidence will show by the number of buyers going through open houses and putting out offers, there are plenty of buyers looking to move of the stabilized interest rates and need to invest in themselves.
