Northern Virginia has a highly educated public. Northern Virginia has dozens of notable colleges and universities. Northern Virginia real estate has access to some of the best public school systems in the nation. Northern Virginia has been noted as one of the best places to live in the nation. Northern Virginia has military personnel for the Pentagon, Ft. Belvoir, Ft. Meade, Ft. Myer, Bolling Air Force Base, Langley, Triangle who need places to live… Need I go on?
Northern Virginia a virtual hotbed of required housing. All of these people need a place to live and many of them opt not to live in The District even though they could still use the Metro for their commute. Real estate in Northern Virginia is where it is at and we’re in a place where buyers are able to take advantage of the lowest interest rates, new construction is still available, resale properties are still selling and there are less distressed properties in Northern Virginia than anywhere in our nation. It’s a pretty great situation to be in and for those who are in need of finding housing in Arlington, Alexandria, Falls Church, Tyson’s Corner, McLean and the like… now is probably the time, while rates are
low, home prices are not top of the market it is still a seller’s market. I am still seeing multiple offer situations and escalation clauses, so there isn’t much inventory in specific price brackets, and if you’re looking to put your home on the market in Northern Virginia, now could be the perfect time.
